Honda FR-V 1.8i 2008

Honda FR-V R18 + automatic gearbox, executive trim, year of production 2008, miles when bought 21K, miles now 178K Km, fuel consumption 8,5l/100Km - 33 mpg

Before purchasing my FR-V, I had a Honda Jazz. I was very satisfied with the Honda brand and immediately fell in love with the FR-V model. However, at that time, it was too big for just me. A few years later, after the birth of three sons (now four! :)), I needed a larger car. I quickly found a great second-hand deal through a friend who owned a Honda garage. In 2010, I bought this two-year-old FR-V Executive for €12,000 (its original price with all options was over €36,000). What a bargain! I have never had any bad experiences with this car. It has been maintained every year by my father-in-law, who is a mechanic. The built-in GPS became outdated rather quickly, and the 6-CD changer broke because my 2-year-old son stuffed it full of coins. :) I have never caused an accident myself, but the car has been hit three times—luckily, it was always repaired. I also installed a Bluetooth receiver in the CD changer connection of the radio. I am still in love with this car, which has never let me down. With my four sons and my wife, we have enjoyed this car immensely. I hope to keep it for a long time. We have also taken some memorable trips with this car: - In 2015, we drove from Bruges (Belgium) all the way to Crete (Greece) in six weeks. - In 2017, we traveled from Bruges to Faro (Portugal) in seven weeks. - In 2018, we went from Bruges to Murcia (Spain) in seven weeks. - In 2019 and 2020, we drove from Bruges to Catania (Sicily, Italy). We bought a holiday home in Sicily, and since then, we haven't taken any long trips with the FR-V. Without those big trips, maybe I can keep my Honda even longer. :) This week, I had to take my car for inspection at the mandatory vehicle inspection service in Belgium. I was informed that the parking lights weren't working. Thanks to your website, I found the right way to replace them myself. What a fantastic website you have! Thank you for your guide and tips. I really enjoyed seeing that there are others who are also "married" to their car.  😊
